A Clare Christmas
The Choir of Clare College, Cambridge make their debut at St Bavo Cathedral in Haarlem with ‘A Clare Christmas’, exploring festive choral masterpieces old and new, and celebrating 10 years with Graham Ross as Director of Music. Poulenc’s Quatre motets pour le temps de Noël and Hieronymus Praetorius’s Christmas Magnificat sit alongside Roderick Williams’s haunting O Adonai, Jan Sandström’s Es ist ein Ros’ entsprungen, and a selection of beautiful arrangements that tell us that Christmas has truly begun. The Choir joins the local Bavo Cantorij and their director Sanne Nieuwenhuijsen for some joint items.
