‘In peace’
The Choir of Clare College, Cambridge and conductor Graham Ross explore the theme of peace across the centuries, and how composers from around the world have responded to it in their writing for unaccompanied voices. With works from the UK, Estonia, Italy, France and Iceland, the programme includes Nunc dimittis settings by Arvo Pärt, Josquin des Prez and Gustav Holst, and both Gregorio Allegri and James MacMillan’s stunning settings of the famous Miserere text – two masterpieces set four centuries apart.
