The Choir of Clare College Cambridge presents Tallis’s soaring 40-part Spem in alium alongside the work that inspired its creation, Striggio’s Ecce beatam lucem.

Joined by acclaimed cellist Raphael Wallfisch, the programme includes Giles Swayne’s anguished The Silent Land for 40 voices and cello, premiered in at the Spitalfields Festival by Clare College Choir almost 20 years ago.
